Light often enters around the sides, top of a window, reducing the effectiveness of blackout curtains. Choosing the right curtain pole or track can significantly minimise these light gaps and improve room darkening performance.

Our wrap-around curtain poles help return curtains back towards the wall, reducing light leakage at the sides of the window. For improved blackout performance from above, ceiling-fix curtain tracks are an excellent choice. Because they are fixed directly to the ceiling without the need for projecting brackets, curtains can hang closer to the ceiling, helping to minimise light entering at the top of the window.

Our metal curtain tracks can also be fitted with overlap arms, allowing the curtain panels to overlap in the centre and helping to reduce light bleed where the curtains meet.

Please note that no single window furnishing can always guarantee complete blackout. For the darkest possible room, combine blackout curtains with a blackout blind.
